Part Three in a Four-Part Series:  Your Memoir Can Inspire People

By Elizabeth Ann Atkins

Have you accomplished something that is a struggle for other people?

For example, about two-thirds of Americans are losing the battle of the bulge.

But the Morelli family won.

Dad Ron and son Mike triumphed on the hit NBC TV show The Biggest Loser.  Mom Becky and younger son Max also slimmed down.

Together the family dropped a whopping 700+ pounds!

I had the honor of writing their story: Fat Family, Fit Family:  How We Beat Obesity and You Can Too.

The book is both a memoir and a how-to book, because the Metro Detroit family shares their secrets about how they adjusted their thinking, eating, and exercising to lose weight and keep it off.

They accomplished something that millions of people are struggling with right now.

β€œI tried every diet out there,” Ron says, β€œand I finally found something that works.  We like to tell our story because all of us want to be the inspiration that we were struggling for so long to find for ourselves.  We want to show people that they can do it, too, that it is possible.  Writing a book was a great way to do that.”

Have you overcome abuse, addiction, illness, depression, or an injury?  Have you started a business against the odds, and succeeded?  Have you found the courage to reinvent yourself in ways that others might find scary, like quitting your corporate job to backpack across distant continents?  Have you experienced a spiritual awakening and found insights that can help others?

Then it’s time to write your book!

By sharing your story, you can inspire men and women to people to take action and change their lives for the better.

What’s in it for you?

As motivational guru Tony Robbins says:  β€œOnly those who have learned the power of sincere and selfless contribution experience life's deepest joy: true fulfillment.”

True fulfillment.

It’s yours for the taking.  All you have to do is put pen to paper and write your book.

Please watch for Part Four in this Four-Part Series on FOUR REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD WRITE YOUR MEMOIR NOW.
