WATCHING A SPECTACULAR SHOW AND MEETING ITS LEGENDARY CREATOR INSPIRE A POWERFUL MESSAGE ABOUT MAKING YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!

By ELIZABETH

Whether the music was eliciting bliss or an abyss of sadness, listening to it prompted me to marvel at the creative genius of composer Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, recipient of seven Tonys, three Grammys, the Grammy Legend Award, an Academy Award, and knighthood from Queen Elizabeth!

It is absolutely enchanting to indulge his magical orchestration of soul-stirring lyrics and melodies that contrast and fuse in a delicious dance in my ears.  Many times his music has made me stop singing along and instead sit silently in awe at how it seems to tickle every cell in my body.

So imagine my absolute thrill when I actually met Lord Webber!

“ROMANCE A LA CARTE” IS A DELICIOUS ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

By SASHA MAXWELL

Guest Blogger

Let’s admit, it’s a rare life occurrence – a miracle, actually – to find EVERYTHING you desire all wrapped up in one person.

So think of Romance à la Carte as being in the restaurant of life, where the menu fails to offer one entrée containing the exact appetizer, soup, meat/fish, starch, vegetable, salad, dessert, and beverage that you’re craving.

What do you do?  You order your favorite items separately.  Got it?

SOLAR ECLIPSE TRIGGERS SEISMIC SHIFT FOR SPIRITUALITY, CREATIVITY, AND PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION

By ELIZABETH

ECLIPSE: a loss of significance, power, or prominence in relation to another person or thing.

Today, anything that has held me back in the past is undergoing a radical loss of significance, power, or prominence in relation to the beautiful, badass butterfly who is bursting out of the chrysalis whose confining darkness prepares it to soar to immeasurable heights.

I have been evaluating my strengths and weaknesses, and writing out a new version of how I’d rather be.  I am using the PowerJournal techniques that I devised and will soon begin teaching with Catherine.  I have been looking in the proverbial mirror to critique what’s working and what’s not in the way I spend the precious moments of this lifetime.  And the revelations reflecting back at me, in addition to deep meditation, are helping me strategize my infinite potential on every level.

DANCING TO THE TUNE OF SUMMER SUNSHINE BLISS

By ELIZABETH

A baby bunny... a male and female cardinal... a big white cat... a chipmunk... a blue jay.

All these friendly critters fluttered and scampered around me while doing yoga in the warm summer sunshine.

Mother Nature provided the soundtrack of chirping birds, and the soft breeze rustling in the treetops, along with my favorite Bill Withers song, Steppin' Right Along.  It’s the most soul-stirring rendition of The Lord’s Prayer — and it made me twirl in a joyful dance all by my damn self.

CELEBRATE YOURSELF WITH DINNER FOR ONE

By ELIZABETH

I’m working really hard on my soon-to-be-published spiritual book:  God’s Answer Is Know.

The basic message is that we all have God’s power within us, and with that power, we are capable of anything.

This message is really important because we live in a world that teaches us to seek everything outside of ourselves.  That can lead to feelings of inadequacy and lack.  Society also programs us to believe that we’re not complete or truly happy without the company of others, especially in the romantic sense.

DANCE LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING II

A woman with tight, curly gray hair, wearing a white eyelet blouse and a blue handkerchief-print skirt positioned herself on the concrete dance floor just below the outdoor stage. The MC introduced the opening act on the final day of the annual blues festival. A few wanna-be dancers lingered nearby. The majority of the crowd sat comfortably in tent-chairs.

The blues harmonica started, then the guitar, and then one guy started wailing my-baby-done-left-me vocals.

FUN WITH FRIENDS ALLOWS INNER CHILD TO COME OUT AND PLAY

by ELIZABETH

Have you let your inner child out to play lately?

It’s so easy to keep him or her locked up and deprived of fun as we tend to the responsibilities of being grown.  I’m guilty of that when I get in my writing groove; I want to invest every ounce of energy and every minute into my work.

Actually, I feel like I play with words all day, so it doesn’t really feel like work because I love it so much!

But it’s really important to take a break from work and have fun with friends.
